Swedish heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling solutions provider Alfa Laval said on Monday (18 December) that it has won a SEK140m equipment contract in the US.
The contract, awarded by an undisclosed customer, covers decanter centrifuges, condensers and other heat exchangers for two new ethanol plants.
"The new project is Alfa Lavals largest ethanol order up to now," commented Lars Renstrom, CEO of the Alfa Laval.
"We are very proud to take part in this very large project that will satisfy a significant part of the US ethanol needs in the future. We see the order as another proof of our strong position in the fuel ethanol industry," Renstrom added.
Alfa Laval, headquartered in Lund in Sweden, has some 10,000 employees and annual sales of SEK16.5bn. The company has customers in nearly 100 countries. Alfa Laval is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.49 Swedish kronor (SEK).
