New air traffic chaos reportedly looms in Norway due to the ongoing conflict between air traffic controllers and their employer, Avinor. The air traffic controllers have reportedly complained of overwork, poor working conditions and a controversial reorganisation within Avinor. Now the employees have reportedly been told by Avinor's management that they must use up any outstanding vacation time before the end of the year. The move would further reduce staffing among the air traffic controllers, and it may lead to forced cancellations of flights, or flight delays, reported the online edition of the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten.
