The Swedish higher education and research property company Akademiska hus said on Wednesday (27 September) that it will invest SEK0.5bn in new laboratory facilities at the Karolinska Science Park in Solna, Sweden.
The new facilities total some 20,000 square metres.
One of the main tenants is biopharmaceutical company Biovitrum Ab, which has already signed a 15-year lease for 12,000 square metres.
The new facilities are scheduled for completion in the summer of 2009.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
