The Norwegian engineering, construction and technology group Aker Kvaerner ASA said on Wednesday (19 April) that it has together with Clough Murray & Roberts won a contract to expand the Boddington Gold Mine Project in Western Australia.
Aker Kvaerner's scope of the AUD111m contract is 60% and covers engineering design, procurement and construction management.
The work will be undertaken by Aker Kvaerner's units in Melbourne, Australia and Santiago, Chile.
One Australian dollar (AUD) is worth approximately 0.42 British pounds (GBP).
