Bulgarian property company Landmark Properties Bulgaria, partly owned by Iceland's Landsbanki, has acquired two real estate properties in Bulgaria's capital worth EUR14m, a spokesman for Landmark told Icelandic Financial News (IFN) on Wednesday (6 September).
Landmark has purchased an office building near Sofia's airport for EUR6m and an office building, under construction, in the southern part of the city for EUR8m, Landmark investment officer Stoil Vassilev said.
Earlier this year the company invested EUR12m in a 42,000 square foot shopping centre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second largest city. Landmark has also declared interest in building shopping centres in other cities in Bulgaria as well as in Romania and Serbia.
Landmark was founded in 2005 and is owned by investment company Altima Partners, Landsbanki and Gort Securities. Landmark plans to invest EUR250m by the end of 2007.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.67 British pounds (GBP).
