DJ Bush Names Kupfer As Economic Policy Adviser

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--President George W. Bush on Friday appointed Jeffrey F. Kupfer to his administration as a special assistant for economic policy.

Kupfer recently served as executive director of Bush's advisory panel on tax reform, which sent a report on overhauling the tax code to the Treasury Department late last year.

Kupfer has an undergraduate degree from Yale and a law degree from Harvard.

Bush also has named Elisabeth Millard special assistant and senior director for South and Central Asian affairs, J. Scott Jennings as special assistant and deputy director of political affairs, Kevin J. Bergner as special assistant and senior director for Iraq, and Luis A. Reyes as special assistant for presidential personnel.
