Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia said on Monday (10 April) that Czech mobile operator Eurotel Praha, spol. s.r.o. had launched the first High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) network in the Czech Republic.

The solution, provided by Nokia, allows Eurotel to operate its network more cost-efficiently and offer faster mobile data services to its customers.

Nokia supplied the HSDPA solution to Eurotel as part of a contract announced in September 2005.

Eurotel is an affiliate of Telefonica and O2.
