Statistics Finland, the Finnish state statistics agency, said on Thursday (14 September) that the year-on-year change in Finnish consumer prices, i.e. inflation, was 1.9% in August 2006, the same as in July 2006.
Consumer prices were pushed up most in the year by higher prices of housing, the agency said.
From July to August consumer prices increased by 0.4%, principally due to the ending of clothes sales.
