The Finnish National Board of Customs has reported that the Finnish balance of trade showed a surplus of EUR380m in May 2006, down from EUR442m in the year-ago period.
Imports increased by 25% year-on-year to EUR4.78bn, mainly on the back of higher prices of oil, reported the Finnish news agency STT.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.69 British pounds (GBP).
