Schiphol Airport has awarded the contract to Heijmans because Heijmans is able to meet the heavy demand on capacity in a short period of time. A total of 39,000 tons of asphalt and 14,000 m3 of concrete will be used in the work on the runways and approximately 76,000 m3 of earth will be shifted. The contract will be carried out by Heijmans companies in the Infra division. The work will take place between 8 and 24 May. Five asphalt shifts will work throughout this period so that work can continue day and night. Sixty trucks and thirty earthmovers will be used to supply, transport and process the material.
