Reykjavik (IFN) Icelandic investment firm Atorka Group said on Wednesday that its subsidiary Promens, a plastics rotational-moulding company, has acquired US-based Elkhart Plastics.
Elkhart Plastics owns and operates four factories in the US, it added.
Atorka said that the purchase doubles the size of Promens in North America and the company's North American operations would generate about USD100m in revenue in 2006.
The purchase of the company is being financed by equity and loans. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
