The project, more specifically, covers the expenditures at the group's two Corporate Research Centres, located in Espoo and Oulu, which provide special know-how and equipment to support and supplement the R&D efforts of the group's various business units. Further included are the expenditures incurred by the development projects carried out at the group's "competence centres": i.e. Water Research (Oulu), Recycling (Helsingborg) and Wood Fibre Line (Vaasa). Finally included is the development work for active business operations are decentralised at the R&D organisations of the Business Units e.g. at Tikkurila, Vaasa, Pori, Helsingborg, and Stockholm.
