Statistics Norway, the Norwegian state statistics agency, said on Monday (11 September) that the Norwegian consumer price index (CPI) had decreased by 0.1% from July to August 2006.
The decrease was mainly due to price decreases in telephone services and clothing and footwear.
Consumer prices had increased by 1.9% from August 2005, according to the agency.
