Norwegian offshore vessels operator Solstad Offshore ASA said on Tuesday (18 July) that it had entered into a contract for anchor handling vessels (AHTS) "Normand Drott" and "Normand Jarl" with Reliance Industries Ltd in India.
The contract has a duration of 14 wells firm, estimated for three years.
Commencement of the contracts, which is in direct continuation of a current contract with Reliance, expected to be during August 2006.
Solstad has also received a Letter of Intent for the anchor handler (AHTS) "Normand Trym" with Reliance for two years firm plus one year option.
The value of the firm part of the contracts is some NOK345m.
One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
