Danish low-cost airline Sterling Airlines, owned by the Icelandic investment group FL, is reportedly planning to cut its number of routes to and from Finland. The routes from Helsinki to Barcelona, Nice and Paris might be cancelled, according to the company. The proposed cancellation is due to the roll-out of competing services by Blue1 and Air Berlin. The company had announced in October 2005 that it would launch 11 routes from Helsinki at the end of March 2006, reported the Finnish news agency STT.
