Statistics Sweden, the Swedish state statistics agency, said on Monday (10 April) that, according to the activity index, the activity of the Swedish economy increased by 0.4% in February 2006, corresponding to an annual rate of 4.8%.
The increase can be explained by an increase of sales in retail trade and an increased number of hours worked for employees in the government sector in February, the agency said.
