Taxi drivers in Copenhagen, Denmark have stepped up a boycott of the Copenhagen international airport. Some 50 taxis reportedly blocked access to the taxi lanes at the airport yesterday (26 April), forcing drivers who did not take part in the boycott to wait about 300 metres from the airport. According to The Associated Press the drivers are protesting against a plan that would only allow them to pick up customers at the airport every second day. The plan was proposed in an effort to reduce congestion on the roads around the airport. Drivers apparently decided to step up the boycott after the airport management refused to meet with them.
