TrygVesta has appointed Jens Stener head of the Health Care and Pensions unit. Stener previously held a position with the DaimlerChrysler Group
TrygVesta has appointed Jens Stener, 39, head of health care and pensions as part of the Group's efforts to strengthen this area. Stener was as Vice President for Business Operations Management, with the DaimlerChrysler Group, in charge of the Danish and Swedish distribution networks. Holding a BSc in economics and business administration and an HD graduate diploma, Stener has attended further training programmes at IMD and Insead. He also has executive training as an officer in the Danish army.
Stener will take up his position with TrygVesta on 19 June 2006, reporting to Stig Ellkier-Pedersen, member of the Group Executive Management.
Health care - a rapidly growing area TrygVesta's Health Care and Pensions unit is responsible for business innovation, development and the sale of products, concepts and programmes in the health care and pension area, including services provided by business partners, such as Nordea Liv & Pension.

The new unit will be a major contributor, enabling us to play a part in developing the market and positioning ourselves strongly, says Ellkier-Pedersen.
Initial efforts will focus on influencing demand and business potential in the Danish market. Future efforts include building competencies on a Nordic scale and coordinating and developing common concepts for the business areas in the individual markets.
