The Swedish energy group Vattenfall said on Tuesday (5 September) that its Finnish subsidiary Vattenfall Kaukolampo Oy has agreed to acquire Fortum Corporation's district heating power plant in Hameenlinna, Finland.
The Hameenlinna plant produces 65 MW of electricity and 96 MW of district heating, and has 29 employees.
Fortum is divesting the plant as part of the conditions set by the Finnish competition authority in connection with Fortum's acquisition of E.ON Finland.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
