The Norwegian financial outsourcing and software company Visma ASA issued its first quarter report on Monday (10 April), posting an operating result (EBIT) of NOK60m, as compared to NOK42m in the first quarter of 2005.

Revenues amounted to NOK587m, up from NOK468m in the first quarter last year.

The revenue growth reflects increased marketing spending and focus on organic growth from the middle of 2005.

"Even though the board considers organic growth to be most important in creating shareholder value, Visma will continue making selected strategic acquisitions," Visma said.

One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.08 British pounds (GBP).
